-----Is Oakite corrosive?
Would Oakite lnc cause corrosion if used as a acid? There are no chloride no hal. but there's fluoride? Would that cause corrosion?
Dr. Michai Hillaerospace - Pcola, Florida, USA

Oakite is a division of Chemetall and a trade name for a whole host of products ranging from alkaline cleaners to chromate conversion coatings, Dr. Hill, some of which would be corrosive to some metals. Fluoride is an aggressive anion and I guess I'd call it corrosive.
