-----Prep for electroplating copper onto brass
I have a question concerning surface preparation for electroplating. What would be the best way to prepare a brass surface before electroplating it with copper? Thank you.

To an extent it depends on what kind of copper bath you will be using, but generally speaking the prep cycle could be alkaline soak clean (not too alkaline or you may get dezincification), electroclean, sulfuric acid dip.

I noticed that sometimes a bifluoride/sulfamic/sulphate acid dip is added prior to electroplating. What is the purpose for this bifluoride/sulfamic/sulphate acid dip? On another subject, what cause the cyanide coppler plate to blister at high temperatures?
