Polishable metal filler with high temp application

(2004)

My dilemma is this: I have a set of cam covers off a Porsche 928 that I would like to polish and paint/powder coat a translucent coating on. The covers are cast aluminum/magnesium. I need a filler that will be able to withstand high engine temps and/or powder coating curing heat. I have two choices of coatings. Translucent powder coating or using POR-15 "color chrome".

Ed. note: Dura-Chem has developed a solvent-free filler specifically for powder coating.
