What media for electroless plating?

What is the media used in electroless nickel plating.

Geral Beaudoin
- West Hartford, Connecticut, USA
2004

Media is a term that refers to some kind of blasting. Do you want to blast the parts, or do you want to know what chemicals are involved to make up a bath for EN plating?

"Media" can also mean conductive material that is added to a barrel for electrolytic plating when the substrate being plated (for example, ceramic capacitors) has too small a percentage of plateable area to be able to plate by itself. This may have some relation to his question.

Thanks for that one, Ted. I really didn't know about it.
