Question about plating copper or copper/tin on nickel

Hello.

I have a problem. We want to plate copper or copper/tin on nickel now. I want to know what different between on steel and on nickel including pre-plate, finishing and so on. Sorry for my shabby English

The difference is that nickel acquires a tenacious tarnish. In simplest terms, before plating you will need a preplate cycle which includes a strong activating acid and a Wood's nickel strike ⇦ huh? step.
