Lighting mfgr. needs maintanance free stainless finish

I am in charge of R&D for a lighting manufacturer, and we are working on a commercial project where we use #4 brushed stainless steel as a decorative finish on our light fixtures. These fixtures also include integrated plugs so they will be touched by the public on a regular basis.What kind of durable and easy maintenance protection can I put on the surface ?
