-----Metal deposition on glassware
I am dealing with glassware decoration (especially wedding stemwares) using glass colors and precious metals of Heraeus. For 6 last months I have used also services of another company for vacuum deposition of Ni on glassware surface. The glasses looks like silvered. Now we are trying to achieve golden effect. How can we reach this color? The second problem is silver deposition on glass by electroplating. What chemical have I to apply over the picture (wedding rings, doves, hearts) on glassware surface in order to make it conductive?
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards

You can use any proprietary mirror silvering process. After chemical silvering you can use electroplating.
Good luck!

Since glass is not conducting it can not be electroplated. But it can be done by Chemical Bath deposition. Mask the other parts with cello tape and dip in a gold plating bath. You can vary the temperature of the bath. But the parts to be coated must be extra cleaned.
