-----Cadmium vs. zinc-nickel on 4340 steel
I am seeking information about zinc-nickel vs. cadmium plating. I have a high stress part that is made out of 4340 steel. In the past this part was cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. I would like to replace the cadmium plating with zinc-nickel plating. I'm looking for information comparing the two types of plating on 4340 steel or a recommendation.
