How to raise Iron Content in Mn phosphate bath

Hi,

I'm having difficulty in bring up the iron content from a new make up bath (Mn Phosphate bath), control range 2 - 3 %, before I could reach 2% with addition of iron powder the bath turn blackish (the last value obtained was 1.97%). Please share your view and advice.
