Additive for hardening tin plate

(1999)

I need to tin plate on a matte finish decorative ware. I have tried Potassium stannate bath but the tin layer is extremely soft and scratches easily. Is there some additive I can put in the solution to harden the deposit. I have tried acid tin but it is too bright. Is there some additive for acid tin that allows me to plate a matte or dull finish. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Oscar , I suggest that you contact a company called A BRITE COMPANY, DALLAS Texas . they have an Acid Tin Solution that plates a very attractive Matte deposit.
