"Electrophoretic" means the same thing as "Electrocoating", "Electropainting", "E-coating" or "E-painting"; the work is immersed in a tank full of 'paint' and is made cathodic or anodic (depending on the solution chemistry); and the electricity causes a chemical change that leads to deposition of paint on the surface of the part. It is sort of like electroplating.

"Autophoretic" means that the chemistry of the 'paint' is such that simply putting the part into it causes the chemical change that makes the paint deposit. It is analogous to electroless plating.

RFQ: Can this "E-Coating" be used for applying the Conductive Coating to Non-metallic items for Electroforming / plating? If so...what is the Source of manufacturer and "E-Coating" bath trade-name? Thank you kindly in advance...ED
