Zinc Flake/Chromate coating

Q. Has anyone heard of a Zinc Flake/Chromate coating per MIL-C-87115 [link is to free spec at Defense Logistics Agency, dla.mil]? I found the spec. but can't seem to find a manufacturer or anyone that is familiar with it.

A. I'm not sure, Jim, but I think you are referring to the zinc-rich dip-spin coatings like Dacromet and Magni.

A. Zinc flake/chromate coatings under this mil spec refer to non-electrolytic processes usually referenced to trademarked coatings, which Magni has, but a number of other suppliers also provide.
