Nickel Plating of Poly Crystalline Diamond tooling

Hello, my father's company manufactures PCD (Poly Crystalline Diamond) woodworking tooling, routers, sawblades, etc. We are looking to adding a quality finish to the our tools but are not sure what process we should be looking at!

Bright Nickel plating seems to be popular and information on, or direction as to how to do this would be gratefully received.

Any other suitable surface finishes which would be suitable would be a bonus. The tools are mostly made from EN8 tool steel with silver soldered on PCD tips.

I know that GE used to offer diamond dust with an electroless nickel plated surface for incorporation into nickel-diamond tools, so it is apparently practical to electrolessly plate diamonds--although I admittedly don't know the details offhand. Surface Technology [Trenton, NJ] has a long history of innovation in related fields though. After the electroless plating is on, you could then plate the tool with bright nickel (and chrome if you wished).
