Hast-X vs Hast C276

2004

What are the difference between Hastelloy X and Hastelloy C-276?

Jason Farris

2004

Haynes International, the producer of Hastelloy alloys, has a great deal of technical information available on their website.

Toby Padfield
Automotive module supplier - Michigan

2004

HASTELLOY X Alloy is used primarily for high temp applications such as hot gas sections of turbine engines and HASTELLOY C-276 Alloy is designed for corrosion resistance and widely used in the chemical processing industry. I suggest you contact Haynes International's Engineering and Technology Department and discuss your specific application with a metallurgist.
