Stainless steel and anodizing

2004

Can Stainless steel be anodized?

Jim Wakefield
Business Services - Studio City, California, USA

2004

The short answer is that stainless steel can be anodized, Jim, if we define anodizing as a beneficial surface treatment that involves applying anodic potential to the item. But that doesn't mean that the process closely resembles anodizing of aluminum; it doesn't. Please try to refine your inquiry with a description of your real-world situation and needs. Good luck.
