Epoxy removal from glass

2004

I have an old glass chandelier that has been repair by using large amounts epoxy glue, I would like to remove this glue with a solvent, and repair it. I'm looking for a repair glue and a solvent for cleaning off the old epoxy. Any ideas?

Try immersion in mixture of acetone Acetone [affil link] and white spirit (24 hours !) Solvent based paint stripper can help too. UV hardening cyanoacrylate glue for glass (Loctite or something similar)is very good. Best glue for glass is Araldite 2o2o (but you can buy only o,5 kg!).

Hope it helps!
