Galvanized sheet metal antiquing

2004

I want to use galv. sheet metal inserts in kitchen cabinets and want to make them sepia color so they will appear in the early stage of rusting. Any suggestions.

Greenish brown for zinc:

30 gm sodium hyposulphite
50 gm potassiumchromiumsulphate
1 lit water
Paint it(or spray) on your object.

When colour is good rinse well.

Good luck!
