Will rhodium plating of ring spoil/obscure fine detail?

I have an extremely detailed platinum ring that is a family heirloom. I'm wondering if Rhodium plating will cover up some of the detailing. It has tons of little handcut diamonds and even the platinum has intricate work. I would like to preserve the ring in its "full glory". I'm wondering if Rhodium plating will cover up some of the detailing.

Hi Tara. The thickness of rhodium plating is a few millionths, and to visualize remember that a millionth is a thousandth of a thousandth :-) So, rhodium plating will have no effect on the profile no matter how sharp your eyes are or how strong your magnifying glass :-)
But please discuss the project with the jeweler or plater because there is usually the potential for misunderstandings of some sort in such projects. Good luck.
