Titanium Nitride OVER Titanium di-oxide plating

2004

Can TiN plating (Titanium Nitride plating as used on lathe/milling and other industrial tools)be applied OVER a Titanium di-oxide (I use a TSP [trisodium phosphate [adv: item on eBay & Amazon]] and water solution and various voltages to produce many different colors. The reason I want this is 1. Durability and 2. I hope to see the di-oxide color THROUGH the Tin plating - I know you can get a gold plate with just di-oxide but I imagine - if possible - that the gold on blue or green for example would look good. For info. the pendants are about 2.5 inches long, 1 inch wide and .25 inch thick at maximum, and are made from 6AL/4V.

Thanks

I am searching for a way to create a dark blue plated surface on copper. Do you have a way to do this?
