For preparing surface prior to painting (automobile component) whether spray p.t.or dipped should be used

I'm not sure what 'p.t.' is supposed to mean -- pretreatment? phosphate?

There are no huge differences in the capabilities of surfaces applied by spraying vs. immersion; it's mostly just a question of which is more practical for the items in question. But sprayed pretreatments and phosphating work much faster because of the impingement, energy imparted, freshness of solution actually touching the part, etc.
