I want to cause my galvanized metal to rust!

Q. I have an odd question. I am currently redoing my kitchen. I am going with the western, rustic look. I purchased some galvanized steel roofing sheets. I thought that they would look need as the backsplash. The problem is that I need to rust them. They are too shiny and do not match. I have rusted barbwire on the cabinets and these are just too new looking. Does anybody know what I can put on these to casue them to rust relatively quickly?

A. Try sandpaper and vinegar [in bulk on eBay or Amazon].
