Dissolved Oxygen generation for wastewater treatment

Our company is putting up a waste management plant. For the treatment of our wastewater, we are considering the use of Dissolved Oxygen generation system as we found a local supplier. It is the passing of low DC current to catalytic type of cells, which produces oxygen in dissolved state, to treat wastewater contaminants like heavy metals and organics. As the system is rather new here, I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of or had experience with this system. Much like electrocoagulation, the system is supposed to eliminate the need for chemicals or enzymes.

Thanks!

Certainly dissolved oxygen treatment is a valuable approach to handling some contaminants, and not useful for others. But we can't possibly impugn the reputation of the supplier and tell you to expect trouble based on such a sketchy description; nor can we over any useful reassurance either. You need to either rely on the reputation and testimonials of the supplier or to retain a consultant to evaluate the proposal, or both. Sorry.

Sounds like an ozone generator to me. Try searching for articles with waste treatment + ozone.

PS, what Ted says is correct. Great for a select few items and bad for some.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
