Need a method of electrolytic reduction

Q. Willing to learn! I am interested in a method of electrolytic reduction using either a 2% solution of NaOH or any other solvent system. Can anyone tell me how to set up a simple apparatus to accomplish this? Thank you.

A. There is a semantics issue here, Cornell, in that you probably mean something very specific by 'electrolytic reduction' whereas to me the term is completely generic, and most electrochemical processes involve electrolytic reduction. Please explain what it is that you are trying to do. Thanks.
