-----Coating hundred year old cast iron columns
Q. I have 10, 100 year old cast iron columns, we took them down to the iron and are looking for a good product to finish them with. either a clear coat or something that will work good to compensate for the rust that has formed overnight.
Thanks

A. Hammerite Rust Cap [affil link] paints are very good, if you can find them. Good luck!

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
