Refinish stainless Wolf range

Q. I have an old Wolf range I'm trying to refinish. I'm trying to get a nice finish on the steel. Polish isn't doing it and I tried 3M pads. I wonder if there's a high heat paint that would give the stainless steel look or some other solutions for a consistent looking finish in stainless.

A. There is Liquid Stainless Steel [affil link] which is made for this purpose, Jill, and it is something that you would apply to plain steel to make it look like stainless steel; but if your range is already stainless steel it's not what I'd do with it.

If it's already stainless steel check your network of friends for someone who knows how to polish and buff. It's basically a matter of using a power buffer with appropriate abrasives; but if you have no experience in it, success won't come real easy. Good luck.
