Summary for type ii class b spec 57-0-2 Discussion
Type II Class B Spec. 57-0-2 is the focus keyphrase here, but the thread does not actually identify the finish. Nancy Kowalski asked what an old print notation meant, and Brian Gauthier later asked about a similar government-contract note reading Type II, Class A, Spec. 57-0-2. The only direct reply came from Heath Wall, who said the spec was DLA Type Z Class 3, and the editor thanked him. However, that answer appears to refer to a different specification than the one asked about, so the discussion does not conclusively decode Spec. 57-0-2. The practical takeaway is that the archive suggests these old military/government finish notes may require checking the original spec documents or contacting a source with historical mil-spec files, as the thread itself leaves the exact identification unresolved.
Q. I have an old print in front of me and need to know a plating spec. It is: Type II Class B Spec. 57-0-2 I was wondering if you know what that is?
Thank you,
Nancy Kowalski
