Sourcing High Temp Paint
2004
RFQ: I am looking for a manufacturer of
high temperature paint
[affil link] in China. I am producing a product in China that requires a high temperature matte black paint. The paint will come in contact with naked flames and must withstand temperatures of up to 650 degrees C. If anyone could help I would much appreciate it.

Hi, Chris. Although high temperature paints are available, asking paint to withstand open flame may be a bit much! I think what you might be seeking is a porcelaining service. (For readers who don't understand the difference, porcelain is a ceramic "glass-like" powder that is melted onto the parts at extraordinary temperatures rather than something that can be applied wet like a paint.
