How can repair shop clean scale off inside of Brass Instruments

Trumpets and other Brass instruments build up a "Lime Scale" deposit which needs to be cleaned off, using Hydrochloric Acid (Dangerous) or Ultrasonic (expensive). Silver Plated instruments need to use Sulfamic or other acid because the Hydrochloric turns the Silver black. Is there an electrolyte and maybe sacrificial metal which could be used to "unplate" this scale off Brass and Silver plated instruments?
