Pink Tinted Clear Chromate
We are receiving in sheetmetal with Clear Chromate over Zinc. The Chromate has a distinct pink tint? Can anybody identify what has changed in our suppliers process?
Thanks.

Dear Mr Hanson,
It looks like your supplier has changed the supplier of his clear chromating bath for the better, the pink tint is an indication of more chromate on the zinc.

Mr. Hanson,
Dump the chromate bath and make a new one. Your Clear chromate has been contaminated. Some other things to check for are the sour dip bath, when your sour dip goes out it contaminates your clear chromate.
