-----Compatibility of autophoretic coating with top coats
Can an autophoretic coating be used as a primer for top coats (liquid paints) based on alkyd amino and polyester resins? the baking schedule would be between 135 and 150 °C. Is any one using this process as a primer coat for top coating?

Dear Sir,
May I offer the following information:
1.Autophoretic® Coating Chemicals (ACC) can be used under alkyd amino stoving enamels or powder coatings providing you use the ACC 700 series (acrylic base) or the new ACC 900 series (epoxy base).
2. The traditional ACC 800 series has limited resistance to high temperatures and are better overcoated by 2K PU topcoats or air dry / force dry coatings

Dear Vinod:
Electrophoretic paint is used as a primer for automobile bodies / parts. Do you have any special reason to use autophoretic instead of electrophoretic?
