Information on silverplating with electroforming

Hi,

Can anyone give me detailed information on electroforming from resin objects. I design and make fashion jewelry in resin and would like to apply this technique on my designs. What kind of equipment and products do I need for silver and gold plating with electroforming? What is the way to do it? Any information or advice is welcome, thank you.

Second of two simultaneous responses -- 2004

Dear Sir,

Electroforming on resins is not a good idea for you because of the stripping of electroformed product will not be easy. So I think its better to electroform on wax then melt it this will be better especilly in round or 3D products this technology is old and will known I think you will make it softly.

Best wishes,

My best advice is that unless you are willing to assume the risk of storing, handling and disposing of wastes that contain cyanide (nowadays almost a curse word), you should consider having your designs done by a professional dedicated to silver and gold electroforming.
