-----COPPER PLATING WITH SULFURIC ACID
2004
MY CLIENT HAS THREE SULFURIC ACID COPPER PLATING TANKS AT ROOM TEMP. THE EPA HAS REQUESTED TO KNOW THE AMOUNT OF SULFURIC ACID MIST THAT IS GENERATED BY THIS PROCESS.
MY RESEARCH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THIT IS PERHAPS A TRACE OR LESS BUT I CANNOT FIND ANY LITERATURE OR BACK UP FOR THIS CONCLUSION. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY?
THANKS,

I would suggest you get an environmental engineer in to analyse the atmosphere. You will then get an answer that is applicable to your clients own system and not one that relates to some textbook case. It will not be expensive as the test is easy to conduct. At the end of the day, textbooks cannot be prosecuted, but clients can!
