-----Applicable material to be welded on carbon steel
We have just completed seawater piping system here, the line were FBE internally coated. Our client is rejecting the vent and drains CS material and they want to be replaced with non corrosive materials. I would just want to know what would be the best solution for this, what would be the material can be use to this existing CS internally coated piping lines? Is there any material can be welded to the CS material other than the carbon steel? I appreciate your kind response.

Dear Mr.Rodolfo R. Caling
Your client is correct. C.S. not suitable for salt water application you can use stainless steel 316-L pipes for the above application For the materials can weld with C.S. is Stainless steel by using Electrode 309-L Best regards
