Zinc cobalt plating: alkaline vs acid

Dear Sirs,

We are having a job shop in India, One of our customers want us to do Zinc cobalt. They also have a requirement for only Alkaline. Can some one let me know the pros and the cons of acid and alkaline. From point of view of corrosion and pollution.

We are operating both an alkaline line and an acidic line. I can say that acidic line is relatively easier to operate. The parameters to be followed are less and the line is easier to handle in terms of cleaning... Good luck
