-----Enamel to re-finish Pavoni expresso machine
2004
My Pavoni expresso coffee machine has a black enamel base which has started to wear after many, many years. I'd like to re-paint it with the hardest, most durable enamel I can find. I can apply moderate heat by putting the item into a domestic oven, less all plastic components.
Are there any enamels out there which give as tough and bright a finish as the original factory finish? Which products are used at factories which make components like that? Are they baked on at ultra-high temperatures? I can't risk damaging any rubber seals in my coffee machine by using too high a temperature.

Consider a marine two part polyurethane enamel. It may not be quite as hard as a baked on finish, but it will likely be very durable. The one part polyurethane enamels found in local hardware and paint stores is not in the same league.
