-----Need to find powder water softener
Saw this on "The View".....Pour hot water over aluminum foil. Use one teaspoon of salt and one tablespoon of water softener. Sterling should come out beautiful. Where in the world can I find the water softener salt

A. Actually, the water softener salt ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] just serves to make the solution conductive. It's the aluminum foil that provides the chemistry for the reaction. So you can use washing soda ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] or Spic and Span ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] or even baking soda [in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil link] instead of water softener granules if it's more convenient.
