-----Powdercoating plastics?
Our company powdercoats large quantities of zinc based diecast door and window hardware. We also manufacture injection molded plastic products, which we hear can be powdercoated. Is this true? If so, are we talking about special plastics or powders? I would welcome any input.

Your information is correct. Here in Europe injection moulded plastic parts are powdercoated. These parts are made of a special modified PA6 or PA 6.6 Parts are used as connection parts or hinges, etc. in for example shower cabins, suspensions of design radiators, etc. Best regards,

We have done plastics which are a special grade and used for skis. I do not know the nature of your mould and unless I know further I cannot say for sure whether they can be done. For die cast we have special outgassing powders, which you are welcome to try. I could arrange to send a free sample on freight collect basis Regards R. Puru

Q. Dear Sirs,
I am interested in the powdercoating of plastics, particularly PVC window frames.
Does the PVC also need a special composition to make electrostatic spraying possible? or is a special pre-treatment necessary?
Do you know powder and equipment producers who have expertise in this subject?
Kind regards
