Dear Sr. Espinosa:

The latest trends in powder coatings involve new automotive installations, applications to wood and plastic, and novel curing chemistry. In the automotive field powder is now being used as a clear topcoat in Europe. Extensive trials are being conducted in North America in Detroit. Powder coatings are being introduced to the wood industry. Both thermosetting and UV curable powders have been promoted for use over wood and in some cases plastic. This commercialization trend is only in it's infancy. We will have to see how it progresses. New chemistry in powder includes the incorporation of UV cure mechanisms in a powder form. This may enable coaters to use powder on heat sensitive substrates.

I apologize that this reply is in English. Hopefully one of your colleagues (or you) have been able to translate it.
