Fine chips not washing out

We are having a hard time getting fine chips from air grinding out in our wash system from our elbow line the parts are coming clean just not removing the small chips.. would the use of DI water clean the chips out? I think we need more water movement myself but upper management insists that the use of a DI system will remove the chips.. I want a DI system in place but for water spotting not chips can you please help me out in this case thanks.

The best cleaning system I can recommend is via ultrasonics; however, you should also know that DI does not work well in ultrasonic equip. Therefore I also recommend maybe a 2 step cleaning process. Preferably a slow movement or rotation in the first stage would be helpful, followed by DI.
