Measuring surface reflectance

(1999)

We have recently installed a cnc polishing machine for finishing aerospace alloys - 2024, 6061, and ams 4096, all alclad materials. Our inspection criteria for checking the polished finish is very subjective (i.e., stand back and look at it), and I wish to introduce something more objective. To that end, I have found in Mil-Spec (MIL-P-6888C) a reference to a Model 660m reflectometer. Unfortunately, I cannot find any information on such a device. Could anyone help me by providing information about this, or any similar, device?

Would appreciate information on your purchase of the CNC Polishing machine, what type and capacity etc.

Regards David.
