Electroless tin

I am interested in more details on electroless (immersion) tin. I read carefuly previous communications on the subject and actually tried the chemical formulation that was given (Letter #260). The results were impressive. However, can you point me on how to obtain a thicker tin plating? What is the influence of the temperature and the chemical reagents that are used? What is the influence of the solution pH?

Is there any possibilty to produce electroless tin coating that will last "forever"?
