Problem with stripping heavy copper plate after carburizing
Has anyone experienced the problem of stripping .0015" thick
(cyanide)copper plating after carburization and found small areas that seem resistant to stripping? We find, occasionally, that small areas of the copper plate start to strip, develop a black smut then stop stripping. The smut needs to be wiped off from these areas repeatedly after the majority of the plating has completely stripped.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
