Rubber to metal bonding
I am trying to look for surface treatment of metal prior to bonding with rubber. Please advise me on the electroplating and electrochemical methods which would result in high bonding between rubber and the metal surface.

Both Micro and Macro-crystalline zinc phosphate have been used for this purpose for years. Recently, heavy coatings of iron phosphate are being tried for some applications. The zinc has an obvious advantage: that of providing enhanced corrosion protection to the bare areas (non-bonded surfaces).

You can do Zinc plating or calcium modified zinc phosphating process if it is mild steel and for aluminum you can to anodizing.
