Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation vs. other aluminum treatments

I want to know exactly what "Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation" is all about. I would also like to know its Hardness in units of Ha, Surface finish in RA value, and its cost per m2 in Indian Rupee. I would also like to know what technical assistance can we get to put a unit at our place, and its cost approximately. Please do provide me a comparative study of a product out of PEO with a product of hard anodizing, All for aluminum surface

Hi, Tomsy. I believe this is also called spark discharge anodizing. I do believe that it has some real advantages over conventional anodizing, but I haven't seen any writeups in technical journals which compare the technologies, so I think you'd have to go to the suppliers for such case studies. There are two or three suppliers who specialize in this process. Good luck.
