Air curtain causing damaged parts

Air curtain on the exit end of our paint curing oven is damaging parts due to the air curtain causing the parts to swing wildly and creating damaged parts

Tim,

The reason for your parts swinging wildly, as you put it, is due, I guess, to an excessive air speed.

You have a few options.

l. Reduce the air speed
2. Increase the gap between the parts and the air curtain, i.e., make the gap much wider = less disturbing air velocity
3. Rigidly mount the parts so that they don't swing about.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
