The Faraday effect on the human body

I'm about to construct a rice straw bale home & I am told that I need to use as little metal products (rebar) as possible to protect myself from the "faraday effect"! But, no one can explain to me what negative effects this has on the human body! In layman terms, exactly, what does this do to your body if you have to much metal in the construction of your home? Thank you in advance for your answer!

Look at 22441. Living in Faraday cages has been discussed earlier. Perhaps "The X-Files" did have something!?
