Need suitable insulating coating

I'm working on Cathodic Electrodeposition paint system. We are using MS hangers for hanging our components(which is to be coated). The hangers get coated in every cycle and every time they are consuming paint which is a wastage of paint. I want to reduce this wastage and for that I need some coating which doesn't deposit paint over itself under the influence of current . As it is electro deposition process , current is passed through paint bath. I have tried some Teflon coatings but after 4-5 cycle paint starts getting deposit on it. I will be highly obliged to you if you can suggest me some coating which serves my purpose.

Incidentally, we do both CED ⇦ huh? coating as well as Teflon coating. E-coat cannot deposit on an insulating surface. The only reason, I can think of, why you have deposits on Teflon coating is due to improper rinsing. Check that out.

Dear Gurvin Singh,

Thanks for your valuable suggestion. I am trying again Teflon coating. Can you send me your equations for Teflon coatings?

Regards,

When you try Teflon coating again, make sure you do get Teflon when you ask for it. Since you are in Delhi, that might be a great issue, you may not get what you pay for.

We are also the Licensed Industrial Applicators for Dupont in North India and we also manufacture E-coating equipment. We are using successfully what you have tried.

Hi Manish,

You can try FEP or PFA coating up to 200 micron thick on the material hanger, also check that you coating should be pin hole free that can't break and offer a chance to failure. You can ask those coatings to any of nearest PTFE coater or to Mr. Gurvin Singh, He will help you better.

Wishing you all the best!
