3. We would like to buy a second hand plant and seek technical consultancy (on paid basis) in India.
4. We would like to know from where we can get the raw material and other solutions for the above process.
5. We would like to know from where we can get a second hand plant.

Q. Hi, does anyone know the process called "Almac mechanical plating"? Is it a mechanical plating process with Aluminum? Is there any substitute process for it? I saw such a process on the engineering drawings but I didn't think that I can find a supplier to apply such a process in my country. Please provide me your comments. Thanks.

A. Hi, Charles

Almac is a brand name for a proprietary mechanical plating of a mix of zinc and aluminum. It was a Macdermid product a while ago, but I am not sure whether they have spun it off. Please contact them about it, or contact Plating Systems and Technologies [a finishing.com supporting advertiser] which is a specialist in mechanical plating technology. Good luck.
