Chemistry Investigatory project

Q. I'm a 3rd yr high school student and it seems that I've searched the all the websites I know still no title for my project. Can you give me some ideas?

A. Rustan, Wilfredo, every library has books full of interesting science projects. Please ask your librarian if you can't easily find them.

Surely you have a hobby that in some way involves metal or chemistry and will present you with a project that will interest you. Slot car racers sometimes lose power ... why? Toy boats or real boats rust away in salt water ... why? Maybe you've found an old coin an it looks different than the others in your piggy bank after lying in the ground. Classic cars rust away ... why? Cell phones change from metal to plastic and back -- why? There has to be a topic in your own experience, not someone else's, that can interest you.
