Zinc plating to code QQZ2325A
Q. Zinc plating to code QQZ2325A? How old is this code and is there a equivalent later spec?Raj Badwall

A. Don't know the age of this spec., but its 2nd revision, QQ-Z-235C, was issued Aug. 18, 1976 and cancelled March 9, 1982. Referral was made to ASTM B633 [affil link] , "Standard Specification for Electrodeposited Coatings of Zinc on Iron and Steel". This does not cover electroplated sheet (see ASTM A591/A591M [affil link]) or wire (no ASTM spec. for electroplated, several for hot-dip galvanized).Ken Vlach [deceased]
